Well, I live in Shanghai, and I am an American ... addressed, but it is a crude way .... Most people do not see foreigners here often so if you have a generally is the point, because they see how their "Oh my God, look! A stranger! Does not mean that in a rude manner.

Also, many Chinese people can see it very well, someone who is not Chinese ... I can not tell you how many times I asked for a photo with someone, just because I look different:)

As the knocking on the windows .... There are many beggars in Shanghai, and some people begging on the busiest streets. So if we get in our car to a beggar or two could get our window, and tap them for us to give them money.

Hope this helps:)

Just recently back from China during a school trip. The Chinese people can not be the purpose by any means rude. Although some see as you walk with the money, others are interested. In China there are so many different cultures such as England and Canada said ... and also easy to distinguish from them. I have blonde hair, just very interesting because they are not used to see every day. Lots and even called for a photo. The Chinese are really quite simple ... They come from different ways of showing their curteosy.

For ordinary Chinese, they have many opportunities to see and communicate with foreigners, who stressed that, because they curious about new groups of people.

Perhaps they are a bit rough in the sense of the West, but believe me, the Chinese people are walking all right, it's only because so many children had never seen foreigners before, just curious.

Goes with the opening of China, more and more foreigners come to China, and I think that after several years, the residents are accustomed to foreigners, I hope that day is coming soon. :-)

Most Chinese are very friendly to strangers when you see this too.

Originally from China here in the hope that this response is not satisfactory. :-)
